If you are looking to treat yourself to your own little gift this Christmas, a great way would be to support the Kickstarter to fund this remarkable new film "The WitchDoctor" by the always top notch Screen Novelties. This studio animated the puppet and stop motion bits in cartoons like Chowder and Flapjack, and is probably best known for most recently creating the CBS stop motion Christmas specials of Spongebob and Elf: Buddy's Musical. I have had SN listed in the "links" section here for a while, simply because I just love about everything they do, and even cooler is that it is seemingly a pretty small operation which produces stunning work.
Here is the link to the KS for the project, and sadly there are just a couple of days left. The support has been strong, but a final push for the goal is much needed here shortly. To be expected, some of the "rewards" are very creative: Tiki mugs, t-shirts, and a behind the scenes "making of". Or the full on tour of the studio, if you're so inclined.
Hey all, I know it has been some time since I've lasted updated. I have been hard at work on a new book project, and it has really been ramping up lately, so I hope to get some more legitimate info out soon. And to share some info on the previous book project that was ultimately scrapped.
Meanwhile, it's hard to believe that a few months ago marked the one-year anniversary that "Saxby" hit the shelves. As always, the book is still available (at a much cheaper option than Amazon, etc.) in the online store here. There is still a little bit of time left for it to make it and under your Christmas tree in time (and free stickers while supplies last). And I hope everyone is watching Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas!
