Mark Neeley is an animator, designer & creative journalist from Cincinnati, Ohio. Inspired by the spirit of mid-century animation & illustration, Neeley’s film works are analogue made using lightbox and paper: true independent, frame by frame animation. Short film Fragments (2020) was the winner of the PBS "Reel 13" program and was the recipient of over a dozen international film festival screenings. Animated music videos and creative advertising are his specialities. As a purveyor of multiple creative projects at the juxtaposition of sound & vision, Neeley is also a writer for tastemaking music & arts publication Aquarium Drunkard and has contributed to publications like Shindig! magazine and Volume 1 Brooklyn. In this realm of music, he has facilitated artist sessions, conducted interviews, been commissioned for curation work and much more.
