I just found this when cleaning up around my studio ... a Bristol board "thank you" drawing that was meant to be sent to my "Saxby" design partner Kenny Phillips as were wrapping up the book's production. Something funky happened during the shipment (as if often the case with the USPS in Brooklyn, I hear) and it ended up being returned to me a few months later. By then I really wasn't feeling it and decided to make a different one.
Hey all ... I will be doing a "story time" reading of my new picture book on November 15h in Cincinnati. The event is at 10:30 am (in true "story time" fashion) at an awesome little shop called Broadhope (3022 Harrison Ave.) in Westwood.
A good time is sure to be had! There will be Saxby-themed cookies, a Saxby coloring activity following the reading, and a bunch of other fun stuff!
"Saxby" is now available at the incredibly charming Broadhope shop in Cincinnati. I promise you'll fall in love with the store once you visit!
I love puppets. Do you love puppets? I would hope so.
We have a terrific puppet troupe here in Cincinnati, properly titled Wump Mucket Puppets, who do fantastic puppet shows year round at local libraries and various events. And it is the brainchild of one passionate puppeteer, with a little help from his children at home.
Check out WMP's latest blog post about an exciting new development for the troupe. Congrats WMP!
I am now selling copies of Saxby through the online store on this very website. Just click on the "STORE" link above on the right to order your paperback copy, at a cheaper price than elsewhere (w/ free shipping + free Saxby stickers!)
The book is also now up on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Booksamillion, etc., if you'd rather go that route. It is Prime-eligible, so that's nice.
Really though ... how can you not be tempted by the Official Saxby Sticker?
